My name is John Mahon, everyone calls me J.R.

I am the founder of Hollywood Pastor.

I am a television producer, street theologian, media consultant, writer, public relations specialist and marketing strategist who has spent years in broadcast television.

I want Hollywood Pastor to be one thing... a place to connect or reconnect with God and simply seek who Christ is.

I'm not gonna chase ya down, call ya, email or even ask for cash... actually I might ask for money.

Who I am...

Husband to Diane, father to my three adopted children Mia, Angel and Z.

The author of “Starving Jesus” (Cook Publishing) and “The Porn Manual” (XXXchurch)

I've worked for Time Warner, Gannett television, NBC and freelanced for every television network in the country. I also did a stint as a porn pastor with an anti-porn ministry called XXXchurch.com.

As creator of a ministry called Starving Jesus I was able to help start and lead dozens of national outreaches from feeding the homeless to securing financial sponsorship for 650 children in the Dominican Republic through Compassion International. I consider that a proud achievement and thank God for the experience.

I speak to thousands of people every year, from Sunday morning church services to national television conferences. My television and ministry experience has made me somewhat of an expert on media and its effects on American church culture.
